Lori Trawinski has been making people laugh for years with her dry wit and observational prowess. Smart and insightful, Lori focuses on politics, social commentary, current events, and just about anything that catches her eye. Her fresh and funny view of the world leaves audiences laughing and thinking.
Lori has performed in Los Angeles, showcasing at the world famous Hollywood Improv and performing at The Comedy Store, where she appeared in the Cathy Lewis Show and the Nappy Fro Show. Lori has also performed at Wiseacres Comedy Club, the Richmond Funny Bone, Zig's Bar, and many clubs on the east coast. Lori appeared in American University's Political Comedy Festival tribute to comedy legend Dick Gregory and has also appeared in the DC Comedyfest.
Although comedy has always been her true passion, Lori studied acting, drama, and voice at Catholic University, The Theatre Lab, and Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company in Washington, DC. She recently completed a five-week intensive improv course at the world renowned i.O. Theater in Chicago. After spending way too much time in school, Lori also earned a Ph.D. in economics and finance. Plagued by an unrelenting voice in her head, Lori abandoned her thriving career as an economist and trekked to Los Angeles to study stand-up with comedy goddess Judy Carter. But hey, you can still call her doctor. It really helps with the dinner reservations.
Lori is currently on the road and can be seen at venues all over the east coast.
